Hate to do the I beat the Journal thing, but 16 hours after I posted the news, the Flint Journal put up a story about the changing of the guard at the paper.

I noticed there was no mention of his current residency in the announcement. In case anyone wants to know it's in a Lansing suburb.

Jim: This doesn't surprise me. I commute 80 miles round trip, five days a week to get to work from where I live in Tuscola County to the northern Oakland county newspaper where I work. We're trying to remedy that by moving to Lapeer County. I met a teacher the other night who works at Oxford but lives in Livonia. Then, earlier in my life I worked at a north Texas newspaper and commuted home 250 miles away on the weekends.
