Editors, and how bad ones are ruining the newspaper business

For a treat I took Joan to the Shadowbrook Restaurant in Capitola last night. It was a place I used to go many, many years ago and always had a good reputation for good food and atmosphere.

One of the first people I met when I arrived at the Flint Journal in 1989 was a news room librarian named Alice. She explained to me the extensive library and morgue that the newspaper maintained.
