Wednesday, August 5, 2009 Wringing hands over cheerleading

First time over at in a couple days. Lead story: Is Cheerleading too dangerous?

It's based on a U-M study.

Also the murdered swans? Turns out the investigation shows they were most likely hit by a car. No crime, unless the driver was intoxicated.

Not that I agree with their theory, but be careful about viewing stories as "leads" on They make no bones about the fact that their system is chronologically organized, not necessarily in order of importance. Given that context, it's hard to say the cheerleading story is the "lead." It merely comes first on the list, right?
