Welcome to the future of local journalism

Here's a story that shows what the future will be like with freelance "content producers," fewer copy editors and a reliance on non-paid staff.

Wow, Jim, that is depressing. But when publishers go from having a professional, adequate,m decently paid staff covering their communities to getting free crap from anybody, this is what we can all look forward to. I don't know what the answer is to the broken newspaper business model -- I don't think anyone does -- but this definitely ain't it.

How long do you think until there is organized disinformation or propaganda efforts by multiple posters and commenters?

I'm thinking there is already some of that.
