A good read for a Saturday
Inside Out has a good read with lots of links about a former journalist who enlisted in the Marines at 34 and was killed last week in Afghanistan.

Thanks Jim. I've said all along that the army is a final option for me if I can't find work after being laid off from the AA News. I've sometimes wondered if anyone will cover it, outside of my friend at the Chronicle, if I die.
