The new MLive Media Group leadership

Here's a link to a photo of the new MLive Media brain trust.

Follow some of the links at the top of the page, especially the job listings, which are right now heavily weighted toward sales. Didn't see any writing jobs, but perhaps those will come later. You wonder how long this has been in the works without anyone letting the troops in on the pain to come.

Lovely photo -- all with big smiles because they still have jobs, and you don't, folks! As a former Boothie who is happily employed at a real journalistic endeavor, believe me when I tell you, these people are not your friends. The only one I ever had any respect for is Paul Keep, and now I wonder about him, too.

The last time I saw that many no-talent hacks in one shot, I was looking at a team photo of the '62 Mets.

Maybe together they can figure out how to correct their archives and give credit to the writers of 2 decades of news articles and remove the erroneous/fabricated bylines.

weren't a few of these folks the same individuals (may I use the term asshats?) at the helm just prior to the Ann Arbor News running aground and then steered the former business publications in Ann Arbor and Oakland County into the reef???

Speaking of Ann Arbor, where is Tony Dearing in all of this? Is he still part of this debacle?

Good question that I don't have the answer to, yet. I noticed he wasn't part of the new MLive Digital management team in Grand Rapids. Someone will let us know.

annarbor.com is becoming a unit of the MLive Media Group, same as the individual papers. Whether it continues with the same management structure isn't clear yet.

I've wondered from time to time how it must feel to go to work knowing you are despised by so many people. Then I remember that in order to rise in Booth/Newhouse you must be devoid of all feeling and have absolutely no sense of right and wrong when you're screwing over your "work family and friends."

What a diverse group! Which ones live in Flint again and which ones live in Saginaw?

Why are there two sales people for every 'content generation facilitator"?

Tony may still have a place at Ann Arbor.com for the day to day input but only time will tell. What this photo does tell you is the very leadership of Both Mlive and the Booth group who assured those left that they had crested the wave and all looked well for the future made sure of one thing as they stepped over the very bodies of those who belived them. THEY STILL HAVE A JOB

What has started to leck out is the numbers and type of people who will be out when this is all done. Publisher of Kalamazoo, Editor of Kalamazoo, Business Editior of Kalamazoo, Ad Director of Muskegon, Editor of Muskegon, Ad Director of Grand Rapids and more and more

OUR TEAM........What an insult to everyone. Got news for all of them.
YOUR NEXT...

Even William Clay Ford, the most stupidly loyal businessman in the world, eventually fired Matt Millen.

Matt Millen should be a boss at Booth, he would have a job for life.

Yes, apparently that old Booth standard "job for life" does apply to a chosen few. Nice to see Hiner is still taking care of his girl, Kelly Adrian Frick. That pairing is definitely the only example of "loyalty" in Booth/Newhouse, dysfunctional as it is.

Sorry as I am for everyone that's getting the ax now, most of them were around to watch it fall on many, many others in several previous rounds. Did they really think their turn would never come?

So does this mean John Hiner, who was metro editor under Tony Dearing at BCT and never got along with him, is now Tony's boss? Finally, proof of who is the bigger snake! It was always a toss-up when I knew them!

OK, I'm calling a time out to the personal stuff. I've posted the previous two comments, but let's try to stay to the facts on the ground and less of the personalities.

Thanks.

I have sadly come to hate this company and what it stands for.
Nothing but lies, greed and arrogance....

Anonymous 01:24, you forgot one, clandestinity. (Lord I hope that's a word, describes it pretty well.)
