Go read Jim Carty's blog

My stepdaughter is home from Boston for the weekend, so not much time to blog today or the weekend, but Jim Carty at "Paper Tiger No More" has some interesting Newhouse/Booth information over there.

Thanks (again) for the plug, Jim!

Wow! Thanks for taking the time Jim. If what they are saying is true about pensions and healthcare I am one of those that will be really, well, screwed. Have been kept off all buyouts and always feared those of us left get the shaft.

Interesting:

"... at least some wonder if it is all a ploy to heighten fears about serious cutbacks before announcing lesser changes, such as only one week of furloughs for each staffer."

There are people that believe the same thing about your info too Jim.

Several weeks ago I posted something on Jim Carty's blog that didn't use names, but did reference people in Flint. He said he would not post it because it was too personal.

Lo and behold, he went on to post a blog about a reporter in A2 that everyone knew, without using the name.

Double standard? I think so!

I will, however, forgive him, since he's doing such a nice job covering Newhouse.

I think his information, which includes information that A2 has been informed of a monday morning meeting (which Flint has not) and that similar documents were found in Newark, makes it impossible to believe that everything you have shared is not spot on.

Thanks for the heads up guys!

16:55: If that is true - and I pray that it is - no one will be happier than I.

That said, if the company is planting false information to make employees feel better after they announce less awful news, that would truly be incredible, not to mention, cruel.

But I'm hoping with you that whatever the delay is, that it may be a total and complete reassessment and change in plans.

If what I published was not true, the company could have denied it right up front and saved a lot of difficult feelings on the part of its staff.

Instead... (queue crickets).
